This role is a hybrid between WFH and client meetings. The ideal candidate will be based in Southern New England within commuting distance to the current customer base.

Job Responsibilities:
You will act as the fractional CFO to an assigned list of clients with different needs and challenges. While this role does not require you to bring in new business, the compensation package will reward you generously for doing so. Some of the activities you will perform on their behalf include:
- Client Advisory: Provide exceptional financial guidance and consulting services to a diverse clientele of investment firms, manufacturers, and distributors in the seafood industry.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure clients' financial practices align with industry regulations and standards, offering tailored solutions to optimize compliance while fostering business growth.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including risk assessments, forecasting, and budgeting, to support clients in making informed strategic decisions.
- Goal Setting: Work with client firms to establish, report on and work to achieve company financial goals and KPIs.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and reporting sessions, understanding their business needs, and delivering timely and effective solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Summit's leadership team to contribute to the overall growth strategy and ensure alignment with the company's mission and values.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Controller, CFO, financial consulting, advisory, or a similar role.
- Comfort and willingness to work directly with clients as their engagement lead.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage client engagements, from scoping to execution and renewal, with minimal oversight.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a keen attention to detail.
- Manufacturing and distribution experience.
- Rock solid alignment with our company culture and values.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the seafood industry and/or food manufacturing and distribution.
- Experience working with investment firms and M&A.
- Ability and experience bringing in net-new business.
Compensation:
Our on-target-earnings for this role is $150K - $175K which will be a combination of salary (~80%) and profit sharing (20%). Significant additional income potential is available for any net-new clients in the form of generous revenue sharing.
