Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst – Center Education Group
Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Senior Financial Analyst to join Center Education Groups finance team. This role will be instrumental in providing comprehensive financial analysis, strategic guidance, and decision support tailored to the unique needs of our educational institution. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to optimize financial performance, support academic initiatives, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the development and maintenance of financial models, forecasts, and budgets specific to our allied health programs.
- Analyze enrollment trends, tuition revenue, and expenses to provide actionable insights for resource allocation and program development.
- Work closely with academic leadership to develop annual operating plans aligned with institutional goals.
- Performance Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and academic leadership.
- Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student enrollment, retention, and program outcomes to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial performance to aid decision-making processes.
- Decision Support:
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to assess the financial implications of new programs, initiatives, and capital investments.
- Provide financial guidance and support for strategic decision-making, including tuition pricing strategies, student financial aid policies, and scholarship programs.
- Forecasting and Risk Management:
- Develop and maintain robust forecasting models to predict enrollment trends, student demographics, and revenue projections.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks associated with enrollment fluctuations, regulatory changes, and market dynamics; recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Financial Modeling and Analytics:
- Develop sophisticated financial models to analyze program profitability, assess return on investment (ROI), and support long-term financial planning.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to address specific challenges or opportunities facing the institution.
- Process Improvement:
- Evaluate existing financial processes, systems, and controls to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and process optimization.
- Implement best practices in financial analysis, reporting, and data management to enhance organizational effectiveness and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related roles, preferably within the education or healthcare sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights) is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
