As a Senior Finance Manager Harware Platform, a crucial member of the team, you will support short- and long-term investments leveraging extensive modeling and competitive intelligence. The focus is short-term hardware cost reduction initiatives from production approval to ramp and keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition all while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments and safeguarding shareholder interest.
Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree preferred
- 6+ years of relevant experience with progressive advancement within your discipline
- Established leadership skills with analytical modeling and strategic thinking
- Data and financial modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
Responsibilities
The Cloud Hardware and Emerging Technologies team is responsible for the gross margin health of the different cloud businesses through a focus on emerging technologies and hardware solutions. The Hardware PlatformSenior Finance Manager is a critical part of this team, ensuring the Microsoft Cloud businesses achieve the gross margin targets by proactively optimizing our roadmap investments from targeted Hardware solutions. This includes decision support for approved offerings, technologies, programs, and investments, defining financial models, developing, and managing KPI's agreed to as part of the development process, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for optimization, and margin accountability.
