Senior Facilities Engineer

Purpose:

Responsible for directing the smooth operation of an industrial plants. Their role involves planning and coordinating activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the plant. Establishes and maintains standard operation procedures including QS documents, field service reports, calibration records, OSHA and safety records. Engineers upgrades and evaluates new and existing facility operations to stay current on latest facilities technology. Responsible for documenting processes and maintains process monitoring of facilities services. Project management of cleanroom and building modifications that involve, the architectural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation operations. Responsible for writing and maintaining operational, preventative maintenance, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation procedures and records. Has significant responsibility for engineering guidelines interpretation, provides and is accountable for complex technical direction to professional/technical personnel. Assists in annual budget planning process and manage expenditures for assigned facilities operations. May require a license of certificate to work in some skill areas.

Knowledge / Experience / Education:

• Minimum of five years engineering experience in industrial plant site environment
• Working knowledge of OSHA, environmental and safety guidelines of plant site operations
• Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing industrial wastewater discharge, air emissions, building, electrical and mechanical standards.
• Strong working knowledge of Ultra-Pure Water systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Industrial Wastewater Treatment.
• Strong working knowledge of bulk chemical delivery and gas systems
• Strong working knowledge in engineering and design of HVAC and distribution piping of the plant and in direct support of clean room manufacturing areas.
• Working knowledge of various test equipment used for troubleshooting.
• Proficient in engineering science statistics and design of architectural, mechanical, and electrical / instrumentation systems
• Experience with building automation systems to diagnosis and correct process issues.
• Strong working knowledge of electronics with heavy experience in troubleshooting high and low voltage circuitry and ability to read electronic/wiring schematics and diagrams.
• Strong working knowledge of national electrical codes
• Clean Room experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Other Engineering degrees may be considered.
