Our EP&P Team provides technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions to a wide variety of clients. Kleinfelder has an exceptionally strong portfolio of Client relationships in the Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Energy, Oil and Gas, and Commercial and Private Markets that is driving our ability to further grow and diversify our business. EP&P is a highly valued and critical part of our growth plan. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Professional to join the Kleinfelder EP&P Team in the Boston Area.
The successful candidate should be a self-starter who can perform wetland and other natural resources surveys, environmental permitting, and natural resources planning activities for a variety of projects including Water/Wastewater and Stormwater Infrastructure Projects. The position requires strong collaboration skills, project management, and client engagement in support of our Clients in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Some limited travel within this region will be required for this position. Kleinfelder offers a hybrid in office/remote work environment.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Independent thinker and a self-starter, able to work independently when needed
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively engage directly with staff, leadership, and clients
- Robust regulatory and agency expertise primarily in Massachusetts and municipalities, secondary knowledge of Connecticut.
- Strong experience working with state and federal regulations, including all steps of design, submittal, and regulatory interface associated with permits under:
- Section 401/404 of the Clean Water Act (CWA)
- State/local wetlands, waterways, and floodplain regulations
- National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits a plus
- National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) a plus
- Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills
- Ability to effectively deliver and review proposals and reports
- Experience with state and federal T&E consultations
All candidates require:
- BS in Environmental, Biological, Ecological Science, Environmental Policy or related field; Masters in a relevant subject area is a plus;
- SWS Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification
- 8-10 plus years of relevant environmental consulting and/or agency employment experience in the region;
- Prior experience working and coordinating with regulatory agencies.
