OVERVIEW
The role of the Enterprise Architect is to expand as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives. The Enterprise Architect will achieve this by strategically designing, developing, and implementing Enterprise Architecture solutions and key system diagrams and models leveraging current Enterprise Architecture platform tools: LeanIX, LucidChart, and Visio. These Enterprise Architecture system diagrams shall be architected at the following layers: concept/system/owner and as built/system/owner. This individual will act as the primary advocate of Enterprise Architecture system diagramming and Enterprise Architecture best practices.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for Enterprise Architecture vision and standards in collaboration with department managers and clients.
- Create agile solutions and achieve an overall Enterprise Architecture roadmap.
- Establish methods and procedures for tracking quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
- Conduct capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
- Create strategies and plans for security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.
- Ensure that enterprise strategies and architectures are in healthcare IT & security regulatory compliance.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Ensure the success of enterprise-level application rollouts, as well as M&A.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to select the products or services that best meet company goals.
Operational Management
- Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and enterprise frameworks across the organization.
- Develop and promote Enterprise Architecture management methodologies and standards.
- Select and implement the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support Enterprise Architecture team.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and best practices for LeanIX as source of Truth with the goal of ensuring security and quality.
- Address enterprise related problems regarding systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration.
- Act as a leader and advocate of Enterprise Architecture, including coaching, training, and career development to staff.
- Document the Enterprise Architecture environment in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger topography and design for target/future architecture.
- Identify and develop opportunities for reuse, migration, or retirement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knowledge & Experience
- Direct experience in implementing Enterprise Architecture government processes, procedures, and decision support communication.
- Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository tools: Lean IX and LucidChart.
- Demonstrated expertise with repository creation and information system life cycle methodologies, as well as CI/CD pipeline ADO experience.
- Working business and technical knowledge of current systems software and standards.
- Good knowledge of applicable healthcare privacy security practices and laws.
