THE ROLE:
ProbablyMonstersis looking for a Senior Software Engineering Directorto become part of the leadership team for an unannounced studio located in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
You will join a team that believes:

This role will be the adventure of your career. You will become part of the core leadership team that will create and execute the vision for an entirely new studio and its games. You will be responsible for spearheading the technical decisions for the studio and helping hire and manage the studio's technical staff.
Location(s) and Travel:
We are a Hybrid Studio. We believe that the office and home both have their place in today's work environment. Employees must be able to access the office located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. There will be a minimal amount of travel in this role. (Less than 10%)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Work with the leadership team to develop and execute hiring plans for the studio.
- Develop the studio's coding standards and guide its technical decisions.
- Work closely with Design to execute on features.
- Mentor new hires and create an inclusive environment that encourages growth.
- Be an evangelist for the studio and its games.
- Execute the studio's goals while demonstrating a high degree of professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of game programming experience.
- 3+ years of successfully managing programmers.
- Experience in multi-platform AA/AAA game development.
- Experience shipping at least one multi-platform AA/AAA game.
- Expertise with the C++ programming language along with strong coding architectural design principles.
- Experience developing in a multiplayer environment.
- Experience working in a start-up or early-stage studio environment a plus.
- Excellent project management and time management skills.

Compensation:
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
- The full salary range for this position is $212,000 - $331,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.
- In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
