Here's where you come in...
In this role as Application Engineer III, you will solve the most complex problems facing our new team for the future Front-End of the external client experience for Trading in FAS. You will have the opportunity to learn how the investment industry trades with Vanguard for mutual funds and define the future of how we interact with clients.
In this role, you will:
- Solve the impactful and complex technical problems as part of coding implementation for our team
- As a founding member of the team, you'll have input on the team culture of continuous improvement, continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation
- You will help upskill the department in web technologies by participating in tech talks and knowledge sharing sessions.
- You will be encouraged to do continuous learning to stay up to date on the latest trends and available solutions to bring back to the team.
- By sharing your innovative ideas, strong interpersonal skills, and challenging the status quo you will be a strong and trusted partner for our Product Owner, working closely with them to understand the problems clients face and translate them into technical solutions the team can deliver.
Ideal Skillset that will make an impact:
- Experience working on enterprise front-end applications. Angular, ReactJS, or VueJS.
- Good knowledge of Typescript, Javascript, NodeJS, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Constellation, and responsive web applications
- Experience with TDD/BDD and automated testing tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Cypress, Jasmine, Jest, Postman
- Key AWS services/technologies: Languages and services to be finalized but may include ReactJS, AngularJS, Constellation, AWS Lambda, Python, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, Step Functions, API Gateway, Kong, Envoy, OPA
- Experience with SRE principles and tooling for observability, alerting, chaos engineering, synthetic transactions, resiliency
