Senior Engineer, Design Validation and Characterization – Design validation, characterization and product development of RF and mixed signal ICs in pSemi’s UltraCMOS technology for mobile wireless RF front end semiconductor products for cellular handsets and commercial/industrial applications. Work as a part of the product development team, taking industry-leading product designs to mass production. Product lines include high performance RF switches, PA controllers (PAC’s), power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, digital tunable capacitors, couplers, and IC filters. Work on RF and analog measurements combined with disciplined project planning to ensure only the highest quality products are released. Support other essential disciplines including marketing and applications, project management, design, production and test engineering. Work very closely with the design team to understand the part operation and device. Required education: Master of Science or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. Required experience: 1 year in the job offered or 1 year as RF Hardware Engineer; Member of Technical Staff (RF Hardware). Additional minimum requirements: work experience to include at least 1 year of the following: (1) RF measurements NF, IP3, IP2/3, IMD, EVM, S-parameters, matching using smith charts, de-embedding, calibration, time domain measurements; (2) Analyze RF systems for accurate measurement of large signal RF Front ends; (3) RF switches, LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLLs; (4) ADS and software for test development including Matlab, LabVIEW, Python; (5) Automating lab instruments and optimizing measurements for speed; (6) Hands-on use of lab equipment to validate performance include Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and DMM. 40 hours/ week. Salary: $95950~$128014 /yr.
