At Leica Biosystems (LBS), our mission is to advance cancer diagnostics to improve lives. To achieve our mission, we have a dedicated Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Research & Development team to arm our customers with new AI tools oriented towards Digital Pathology adoption.
The responsibilities will include developing software enterprise products, regulated products and tools that will enhance digital pathology solutions offered by LBS. To achieve our goals, you will interface with AI Lab scientists, development teams, external AI product partners, product marketing, and our valued customers as we augment our scanning and imaging platform with capabilities.
Responsibilities:

  • Build, develop, and define scalable full stack enterprise level applications.
  • Deploy software in cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Participate in discussions about design and architecture while bringing your best ideas to the table.
  • Write unit tests and inclination to automation.
  • API development and integration

Requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or related (master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment
  • 5+ years' experience with rigorous discipline around check-in, code review and source control (i.e. GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN, Perforce)
  • Current experience with cloud packaging/deployment technologies for Docker, Debian, and Python
    • Docker, JavaScript/Typescript, AWS Experience (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, VPC, EC2, SQS, Batch, IAM, Cognito, etc.), HTML/CSS, SQL, Node.js
  • Strong hands-on experience and understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and web application development.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Healthcare industry experience in the field of Digital Pathology will be a plus
  • C#/Golang, Solid Framework and Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Regulated industry (ideally in Diagnostics, SaaMD, or pharmaceuticals)

Travel:
  • 10%

The salary range for this role is $120 - 130K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. #L1-WT1; #LI-Remote
