Job Summary:
As a key member of multi-discipline development teams, the Senior Electrical Engineer Designer (SrEE) will be involved with all levels of electrical/electronic design, including system and board-level architecture definition, component selection, schematic design, design reviews, BOM generation, etc. The SrEE will coordinate and execute the debugging of his or her own designs, as well as assist with the projects and designs of other EEs and team members. In addition, the SrEE will advise on appropriate test methods to be used during the qualification phase of his or her designs.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for electrical design aspects of assigned projects, including generation of Product Electrical Design specifications, system architecture and block diagrams, and detailed electrical design functions.
- Application of standard engineering design principles and methodology to research design options and experimentation to determine potential design feasibility or application.
- Interface with and manage external design resources, for example, outside consultants, PCB layout engineers, etc., when appropriate.
- Review of product documentation for accuracy, including documentation intended for customer use.
- Review and evaluation of product design through informal and formal design reviews as well as through design verification test plans and reports
- Evaluation of product non-conformances and recommendation of design modifications, and mentoring engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and demonstrable expertise.
- System-level engineering experience with a focus on electrical design including high-speed design, digital/analog hardware design, power system design, and system interconnection.
- Experience with the hardware design of microcontroller, FPGA, and or SOC-based systems.
- Experience with high-speed board design and layout techniques (HDMI, USB 3.0, DDR4, etc.)
- Understanding and/or direct experience with HDL and firmware design flow, and familiarity and experience with digital display controller design.
- Proficient in Altium schematic capture tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
