The R2T Team is an experienced and qualified group of professionals providing services on all phases of projects: conceptual planning, design development, permitting and regulatory compliance, watershed/stormwater management, design-build, construction, or operations phase services.
About the Role:
R2T, INC is looking for a Senior Ecologist/Biologist to join their team in their Dunwoody or Roswell, GA office. R2T’s Ecological Services staff have performed a wide variety of projects within Georgia. Specific experience includes performing detailed field studies including water resources planning, wetland delineations and performs tasks related to environmental compliance. This individual is expected to report directly to the company President.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understands and complies with DOT Plan Development Process and applies DOT standard operating procedures and guidance for Ecology on Transportation projects.
- Oversees ecology work associated with transportation, engineering, on-call, and other projects that may occur.
- Compiles reports, documents, and permits associated with all projects involving impacts to environmental resources.
- Reviews reports, documents, and permits.
- Coordination with Federal, State and local regulatory agencies as well as GDOT staff.
- Experience with NEPA Documentation
- Preparing Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404/401 permit applications
- Preparing Georgia Environmental l Protection Division (GEPD) Stream Buffer Variance (SBV) applications.
- Completing tasks needed for LDP Permits
- Attends GDOT GPTQ Ecology meetings and networking events.
- Completes Water Resources Planning Studies
- Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Biology, Technology or related field of study strongly preferred
- 10+ years of experience in specific Ecologist/Biologist related work
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
- Qualified applicants offered the role must pass a background check, drug test, and alcohol screening test
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to work out of the R2T, INC Dunwoody or Roswell, GA offices
- M-F, flexible hybrid schedule; In-office & field work on M – TH, remote on Fridays
- 80 - 100k annual salary range
