Senior Durability Technician

We are currently looking for a full-time Senior Durability Technician in Toronto, Canada with mandatory travel based on company needs.

Job Description:

• Execute mechanical operations in Durability workshop.
• Follow technical instruction from manufacturer handbooks.
• Perform vehicle inspections, quality malfunction analysis/investigation and troubleshooting.
• Installation, maintenance, and data retrieval from logging equipment.
• Monitoring of sensors (thermo-par).
• Execute tear-down powertrain/vehicle and find root cause of concerns detected during test.
• Perform reporting duties according to internal customer requirements. Use internal tools and software for the correct reporting.
• Follow up and collect daily reports from drivers sheets to determine issues with the vehicle, report up to superiors and clients.
• Supervise that the tasks of drivers involved in the tests are carried out according to the proper procedures and requirements.
• Revise and analyze the data and results obtained during the tests for quality assurance.
• Implement existing quality standards and define new standards whenever it is required.
• Share on time reporting with detailed information to Program Manager.
• Initially support and later lead the driving activities plan.
• Support Program Manager/Engineer on project execution and planning.
• Support by any means necessary to successfully complete the project.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.
• Ability to read and interpret a wiring diagram.
• Knowledge of electrical diagnosis procedures.
• Background knowledge and understanding of electric vehicles.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk up and down hills, bend, kneel, sit for lengthy periods, and use hands for various functions such as typing and using various hand tools.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions for long periods of time.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours. Mandatory overtime and weekends may be required.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
