Senior Director - Talent Development

Senior Director, Talent Development The mission of HubSpot’s People Operations team is to attract and empower people to do their best work and help HubSpot grow better. Reporting to the VP of Global Recruiting & Talent Development, this Senior Director will form part of the People Operations extended leadership team and oversee a global team of Talent Development, design, delivery, and learning operations professionals who are responsible for executing on our global talent strategy. 

As we continue on our growth journey at HubSpot we have an opportunity to make a fundamental shift in how we work with the goal of driving better outcomes across the company. To make this a reality will require us to build and execute on a holistic talent strategy that will enable, support, and empower HubSpotters to do their best work in our performance-driven culture where we continually strive to enable HubSpotters to do the best work of their careers.

This Senior Director and their team will be central in designing, implementing, and driving scalable,  measurable, and high-impact Talent Development efforts that are aligned with our high-performance philosophy as an organization. 

You will be expected to:

  • Deliver on HubSpot's global talent strategy by designing and connecting all of our practices, programs, and processes to our philosophy on high performance.

  • Evaluate existing Talent Development experiences and outcomes to ensure they are in alignment with our global strategy and our philosophy on high-performance. 

  • Manage an end-to-end talent experience strategy inclusive of practice development, design, and delivery.

  • Develop priorities and roadmaps in alignment with organizational goals and translate that to a clear operational path that the team can work towards.

  • Lead a diverse, inclusive, and high performing Talent Development team, emphasizing psychological safety and the celebration of different perspectives 

  • Maintain a consistent pulse on employee sentiment on the value of our strategy and ensure a customer-focused experience.

  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to elevate the Talent Development function within the organization.

  • Devise and implement effective measurement strategies to evaluate the impact of Talent Development efforts on employee performance and growth.

  • Ensure the principles of the talent strategy are embedded in all aspects of how we work as a company.

  • Own all communication and reporting regarding owned programs and initiatives.

  • Is comfortable with ambiguity, has proven adaptability, and is excited about experimenting and embracing a growth mindset.

  • Is a hands-on leader who can roll up their sleeves and execute on deliverables as and when needed. 

  • Thrives in collaboration while also driving clarity in priorities and omissions. 

  • Can effectively partner cross-functionally and influence. 

  • Has excellent project management skills that allow you to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives and deliverables and produce remarkable results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with leaders of all levels to build rapport, gain buy-in, advocate, and align to business goals.

Cash compensation range: [223,100]-[357,000] USD annually.

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications  and other job-related reasons.
