Job Summary:
This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for developing and overseeing Brady’s multi-year, national research-driven social norm change campaign that will change hearts and minds about the role of guns in the US by counteracting the decades of disinformation from the gun industry. This position is responsible for building the vision, strategy and network necessary to implement this ground-breaking campaign, including collaborations with advertising agencies, corporate partners, and like-minded non-profits. This position requires interaction with all departments across Brady to align messaging and identify strategic opportunities consistent with campaign goals.
This role requires a deep understanding of developing large multi-year consumer marketing campaigns, and developing relationships with critical partners to execute said campaign. Must have experience developing research-driven campaigns with break-through creative, tracking and managing all campaign budgets, managing vendors, partners, and consultants, providing research, metrics, and data collection, executing and delivering campaign milestones, coordinating project team timelines and schedules, setting calls and meetings with key stakeholders
The candidate will work with a dynamic team of experienced, committed individuals in a collaborative, supportive, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about social change, has deep experience working for an advertising agency or a major consumer brand on large-scale, multi-year, advertising campaigns in the public or private sector, is persuasive, and able to develop and communicate the vision, plans, and goals of the campaign with senior management and key stakeholders. In addition, the ideal candidate is analytically focused with strong business acumen, developing campaign strategy based on an understanding of research and audience insights.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead architect for the development of the vision, plan, execution and budget for the campaign
Establish key relationships with advertising agencies, corporate partnerships and non-profits critical to the execution of the campaign
Manage the relationship with media and marketing partners to ensure that all information is shared, key deliverables are met on a timely basis with high-quality work product, and Brady’s objectives are achieved in the creation of the campaign
Lead collaboration with Development and Engagement team to identify funding and sponsorship opportunities to support growth of the campaign
Lead collaboration with the Communications team to developing messaging about project, and ensure alignment with other Communications work
Be an exceptionally strong, polished, and confident communicator, both internally and externally
Monitor, report on, and make recommendations regarding Brady’s implementation of its social norm change campaign through key metrics.
Develop presentation material, and other communications collateral in conjunction with other departments for internal and external use
Other dynamic support that may arise on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 7-10 years of related work experience, including a strong preference for work on large-scale marketing campaigns either at an agency or consumer brand
Agency and partnership management experience, especially managing advertising agency and partner relationships.
Demonstrated ability to achieve clarity in the face of ambiguity.
Strong budget management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a faced-paced and often rapid response environment.
Outstanding communication (written, spoken, presentation) and research skills.
Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of media relations and advertising campaign life cycles.
Commitment to sensible gun laws and reducing gun violence.
Experience in a non-profit is a plus.
Ability to work some nights and/or weekends.
