Salary: $180K-$220K  

KRAFTON, Inc. is currently seeking a talented, highly motivated Sr. Director of Publishing Strategy & Operations, Americas who will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the Americas Leadership Team, and specifically with the Head of Publishing, Americas. The role is pivotal in translating vision into practice and aligning various departments towards common goals.  There are four critical pillars of this role: 

1. Align Americas Strategy and KPIs in support of KRAFTON HQ Strategy - This person must be able to lead within a complex matrix organization - across functions successfully and global/regional teams - and strengthen the organizational structure. This person will combine the vision and strategy set by KRAFTON HQ with the regional PC / Console goals of the Americas group. With a deep understanding of video game console publishing operations, processes and technology, they will help build a full-service publishing operations organization for Krafton Americas. 
2. Managing across Americas Org -  This leader will be on the ground floor helping Krafton build its PC and console portfolio. In this role, they will develop a strong, trusted relationship with the Head of Publishing, Head of Marketing, Head of Finance, and Head of HR to collaboratively grow the business.  As a person, you're a professional and yet still a fan of playing video games. 3. Managing up to KRAFTON HQ -the right candidate will have experience in a fast-paced environment. This role requires both managing up to KRAFTON publishing HQ in Korea and across the Americas leadership team in support of the Head of Publishing, Americas.  It is a complex role requiring high emotional intelligence, patience and strong communication skills in both Korean and English. 
4. Able to support business operations day-to-day - As a master of execution, organization, and communication, the Sr. Director of Publishing Strategy & Operations will ensure the effectiveness of our global operations and the cohesion of our leadership decisions. Additionally, this role will have strategic oversight of our business development initiatives in the Americas including portfolio planning. 

This is a full-time position that is expected to be a hybrid role - three days a week in our Los Angeles area office.   

Job Responsibilities  

• Act as a strategic advisor to the Head of Publishing, Americas, providing insights and analysis on company operations, strategy, portfolio management and decision-making. 
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, manage special projects, and ensure follow-through from all parties involved. 
• Manage a Strategy & Operations team (including reporting and day-to-day tasks) and BD team which will support and collaborate with PHQ teams in Seoul, Korea. 
• Oversee the preparation and coordination of Publishing HQ meetings and Americas Biz team summits, including agenda setting, material preparation, and the communication of outcomes. 
• Foster collaboration across various departments, improving the flow of information within the organization. 
• Serve as a liaison between staff, senior leaders, and the regional and global Heads of Publishing, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, and proposals. 
• Assess inquiries directed to the Head of Publishing, Americas, determine the proper course of action, and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage. 
• Ensure the Head of Publishing, Americas involvement in project or decision-making processes takes place at key times, where their input and authority are most impactful. 
• Monitor the implementation of strategic business plans and help to develop metrics to measure organizational success. 
• Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents on behalf of the Head of Publishing Americas. 
• Conduct in-depth analysis of our market, competitors, and industry trends to inform strategic planning in conjunction with consumer insights and product teams. 
• Manage the executive team's rhythm of the business, ensuring a cadence of accountability and performance monitoring. 

Job Qualifications 

• Bilingual in Korean and English. 
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. 
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in a business management or management consulting role, with at least 3 years in a strategic advisory capacity, preferably within the video game or entertainment industry. 
• Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. 
• Experience conducting P&L planning and managing to departmental objectives. 
• Ability to manage direct reports, prioritize their work and grow their careers while they support the team's efforts. 
• Exceptional analytical and abstract reasoning skills, coupled with strong organizational abilities. 
• Advanced communication skills (both written and verbal) and diplomacy in handling sensitive information. 
• Ability to effectively interact with senior-level management and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Adept at short and long-term planning, managing multiple priorities, and orchestrating change.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills, comfortable speaking in front of diverse and large groups.
• Deep understanding of business functions, workflows, and the video game industry landscape.
• Capacity to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, demonstrating resilience and flexibility.
• Creative thinker with a vision to drive the business forward, combined with a practical and hands-on approach.
• Experience designing and shifting organizational structures as a business grows and evolves.
• Able to travel frequently both domestically and internationally.
