MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides strategic oversight and direction for end-to-end development and implementation of ECHO strategic plan across the organization and develop planning and oversight of Super Hub status.
- Works with field staff, content experts, external partners, funders, and federal, state, and local agencies to develop and execute a coordinated approach to the implementation of ECHOs on a wide variety of topics.
- Leads the ACS ECHO advisory group made up of cross-functional staff and leadership charged with informing the enterprise-wide ECHO strategy.
- Oversees and manages budget resources working in collaboration with Finance, SPO, and Development.
- Provides leadership to data and evaluation strategy for ECHO initiatives, including donor-supported activities.
- Provides leadership to workgroups, committees, and internal and external stakeholders that support the Society’s priorities.
- Develops recommendations, programs, and activities that utilize the ECHO model to address the needs of marginalized populations with the goal of the elimination of cancer-related disparities in prevention, early detection, treatment, and outcomes.
- Collaborates with Corporate Communications and Marketing to develop content, messaging, storytelling, media, brand awareness, and communication strategies.
- Assignments require self-government and action. There is considerable latitude for decision making. Significant independent action and judgment are required.
- Under the direction of the VP, Professional Collaborations provide strategic account management and participate in account planning activities related to ECHO initiatives.
- Develop and lead ongoing staff training on the ECHO model and successful execution of ECHO initiatives. Supervise and provide direction to staff as assigned or developed as a part of this role.
FORMAL KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health programming, social work, or related field and five years of ECHO experience. Masters preferred.
- At least five additional years of experience in strategic design and implementation and operations and implementation of community-based health initiatives and/or health equity issues, with a strong preference for applicants who have worked in the fields of public health, cancer control, and/or health equity and have experience with tele-mentoring models such as Project ECHO.
- At least five years of experience in public health or other non-profit programming implementation. Experience in managing projects to reach the marginalized communities. Experience working across the enterprise to achieve organizational mission goals. Professional representation of the ACS and experience in presentations to national groups.

The starting rate is $117,000 to $135,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
