Coastal Payroll is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Director of Product & Technology to lead a team focused on growth and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of process improvement, applications management, and product innovation. As the Senior Director of Product & Technology, you will play a crucial role in driving product innovation opportunities through APIs and AI, managing critical IT vendor relationships, driving continuous improvement throughout the organization, and developing a high performing team.

 WHAT YOU'LL DO

Innovation Through Technology:

• Champion opportunities for innovation using APIs and AI to enhance product capabilities, customer experience, and drive revenue that align with the company's business goals.
• Drive the vision for the department while collaborating closely with senior leadership.

Vendor Management:

• Oversee and manage IT vendors to ensure top-notch delivery, performance, and alignment with our business requirements. This includes contract negotiations, performance reviews, and fostering strong partnerships.

Applications Management:

• Supervise the lifecycle of our application portfolio, ensuring it meets business needs and remains up to date with modern technological standards.

Process Improvement:

• Identify, design, and implement technology and product strategies aimed at continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Team Leadership:

• Cultivate a high-performing, agile, and diverse team. Mentor and provide guidance to team members, promoting personal and professional growth.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure product and technology operations run smoothly and meet set quality standards. This includes infrastructure management, software development, and more.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Engage with stakeholders across all departments to ensure product and technology initiatives align with broader company objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 5 years of leadership experience in product and technology roles, with a track record of driving transformation and growth.
• Deep understanding of APIs, AI, and other modern technologies.
• Proven experience in applications management and process improvement.
• Strong vendor management skills with a focus on managing technology ecosystems.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to inspire, lead, and grow diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and strategic thinking.
• Familiarity with specific industries or technologies, e.g., "SaaS platforms", "cloud infrastructure", etc., preferred.
