Summary

The mission of Tech Goes Home is to empower communities to access and use digital tools to overcome barriers and advance lives. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Learning & Development Director will be solely responsible for the Learning & Development function. TGH is in the process of becoming a household name and we want to bring the best and brightest stars with us to help with our strategic planning goals of reaching 1 Million learners by 2034.

TGH is rapidly growing! This is such an exciting time for us! We are expanding and will begin the process of scaling our organization and we are moving at the speed of light! Because of this super and amazing fun fact, I am seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as the Learning & Development Director. This key leadership role is responsible for driving the development and execution of strategic learning initiatives that enhance the skills, capabilities, and overall performance of our workforce.

The successful candidate will be a seasoned learning and development expert with a proven track record of designing and

implementing comprehensive learning programs.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

○Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.

○Collaborate with leaders within the organization to identify learning needs and opportunities that support organizational growth and effectiveness.

Program Development:

○Design and oversee the development of a wide range of Learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and professional development initiatives.

○Incorporate innovative learning methodologies, technologies, and best practices to ensure engaging and effective learning experiences.

DBIE Integration:

○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed DBIE principles into all learning initiatives, ensuring that content is diverse, culturally sensitive, and promotes a sense of belonging.

○ Develop and implement strategies to measure the impact of DBIE-focused learning programs.

● Needs Assessment and Analysis:

○ Conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify skills gaps and learning opportunities within the organization.

○ Analyze data and feedback to make informed decisions about the development and enhancement of Learning programs.

● Technology and Innovation:

○ Stay abreast of industry trends and leverage technology to enhance learning experiences.

○ Integrate innovative approaches, such as e-learning, gamification, and immersive learning, to engage a diverse workforce.

●Learning Culture:

○Foster a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization.

○Implement initiatives that promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

Collaboration and Partnership:

○ Work closely with HR, talent management, and other departments to ensure alignment of Learning initiatives with overall talent development strategies.

○ Collaborate with external partners, consultants, and industry experts to bring cutting-edge practices and perspectives to the organization.

Team Management:

○Lead and mentor a team of Learning and development professionals.

○Provide guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team's success in delivering high-quality learning solutions.

Vendor Management:

○Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to supplement internal capabilities and bring external expertise when needed.

○Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure cost-effective delivery of Learning solutions.

Measurement and Evaluation:

○Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Learning programs.

○Regularly assess and evaluate the impact of Learning initiatives, making data- driven recommendations for improvement.

Compliance and Reporting:

○ Ensure that learning programs comply with relevant regulations and standards.

○ Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness and impact of DBIE-focused learning initiatives.

Budget Oversight:

○Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications

In addition to personal qualities like resourcefulness, dedication, attention to detail, and a sense of humor, candidates should demonstrate the following:

●Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

●Proven experience in a senior-level learning and development role, preferably in a global and dynamic business environment.

●Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.

●In-depth knowledge of Learning theories, instructional design, and adult learning principles.

●Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.

●Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

●Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

●Strategic thinker with the ability to align learning initiatives with business goals.

● Ability to quickly learn new technologies. A desire to expand their knowledge base continuously. Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus:

○ Slack

○ Google Workspace

Compensation

TGH offers competitive compensation for all staff positions. The exact salary that will be offered to the candidate will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience.

Salary Range: $ 120K to $150K
