Senior Director, Income Tax Operations

Overview
We are seeking someone to lead the teams that oversee the global Income Tax provision and U.S. federal and state compliance operations (Income Tax Operations Team). You will report directly into the Head of Tax. You have proven experience leading individuals and presenting complex tax topics to Executives and Board members. We are looking for a great culture fit that can bring diverse perspectives and experiences. While technical abilities are critical, we are seeking an individual who collaborates within a matrix environment.
The main responsibilities for the role include leading the group that oversees the global Income Tax provision and U.S. federal and state compliance operations focused on:
Income tax provision:
- Quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial reporting disclosures
- Worldwide US GAAP Income Tax reporting for all foreign entities
- GAAP effective tax rate guidance
- Cash tax rate forecasting and analysis
- Responsible for worldwide Income Tax accounting SOX controls
- Accounting for the Income Tax effects of stock-based-compensation
- Accounting for the Income Tax effects of Pillar 2
- Communicating results to Executives and Board members
- Managing and fostering a positive relationship with external auditors
Income tax compliance:
- Federal and state tax Income Tax returns
- Quarterly and annual federal, state, and international tax provision impacts
- U.S. International tax compliance focused on GILTI and other key int'l tax areas
- Quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments
- GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and BMT
- Federal and State R&D tax credits
- Federal and State Income Tax Audits
- Withholding Tax Compliance
Beneficial skills:
- Minimum of 15 years of tax experience in public accounting and/or a corporate tax department
- ASC 740 and U.S. federal tax compliance experience
- Experience managing the external auditor relationship
- Experience managing individuals and processes
- Development and training of team members or mentees
- Works in a matrix environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills, including delivering concise, decision-useful presentations

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
$193,000 - $300,850 USD Annually
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
$184,250 - $271,700 USD Annually
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
$158,800 - $243,600 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
