Summary:
The Senior Director, Hospital Sales is responsible for executing company and Hospital Sales strategies and account management initiatives for Onco360/CareMed. The role’s primary focus is to provide leadership and direction to a team of Hospital Sales Account Managers. In addition, this role will be responsible for new customer acquisition for hospitals and health systems, with the goal of growing our hospital portfolio to overachieve our sales forecast.
Senior Director, Hospital Sales Major Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the execution of all company initiatives of Onco360 and CareMed with all Hospital Sales account managers helping to grow sales to achieve revenue and GP goals
  • Activate participation in new contract implementation including accompanying account managers on customer calls to evaluate techniques and assist with account growth and eligibility plans
  • Develop & implement effective sales strategies and innovative concepts for the Hospital Sales organizations alongside the VP, Hospital Channels. Update as required to ensure the business stays focused on key organizational goals
  • Work with Hospital Sales account managers to optimize processes, increase eligibility, and continue to grow Hospital Sales business and customer loyalty
  • Work with the Hospital Sales AMs and core Field Sales Directors to create consistency between the core and Hospital Sales teams
  • Work collaboratively with operational and financial leaders to ensure optimal eligibility performance
  • Ensures compliance and execution of Hospital Sales initiatives by continuously reviewing and monitoring sales plans, sales reporting information, key statistics, directing sales activities, and ensuring timely expense reporting and usage of company CRM
  • Ability to direct a team of Hospital Sales account managers utilizing positive motivational leadership to drive optimal outcomes
  • Represent company at professional meetings & conventions.
  • Ensure account managers are conducting their duties in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
  • Actively participates in regional as well as national sales calls and meetings
  • Identifies deficiencies in skills among account managers, and works to improve individuals’ capabilities through coaching, development, and training
  • Setting designated call expectations with a focus on top targets
  • Identifying key influencers and helping to manage pipeline of Hospital Sales prospects.
  • Delivering product presentations to potential customers
  • Exceptional probing and consultative communication skills
  • Familiar with 340B regulations and 340B reimbursement
  • Other duties as required.
Senior Director, Hospital Sales Position Qualifications:
Education/Learning Experience
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in health care, business, or pharmacy administration
  • Desired: Master’s degree
Work Experience
  • Required: Proven sales track record indicating accomplishment and successes. 5+ years Pharmaceutical or Specialty Pharmacy sales or 340B experience
  • Desired: Oncology sales experience, 340B sales experience
Skills/Knowledge
  • Required: Demonstrated analytical skills to help define and establish strategies and action plans. Strong understanding of the sales processes and an understanding of how to prospect and obtain new clients. Demonstrated understanding of oncology therapeutic area, products, and marketplace. Strong presentation, organization, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Desired: The ability to understand and comply with all healthcare compliance guidelines and policies, business acumen, strong platform skills and experience presenting to large groups on complex subject matter is preferred. Established with MS products (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) and Sales CRM Tools.
Behavior Competencies
  • Required: Moderate travel (40%).
