Job Description
This role can be based in our San Francisco office or our global headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

We're looking for a globally-minded strategic leader to develop world class Employee Communications here at LinkedIn. Your main goal will be to help thread the needle across our Corporate Functions to develop company-wide Employee Communications that drive a sense of purpose and connection. This person will be responsible for helping employees understand the bigger "why" and "how" behind company priorities and decisions. This leader will guide a high-impact team that will ensure our employees know how their work drives our ability to achieve our vision to create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.
The ideal candidate brings public company knowledge and expertise in crafting compelling Employee Communications to global audiences at scale, no matter the topic. They're comfortable with navigating ambiguity and also have a demonstrated skill for developing adaptable approaches when necessary. They're obsessed with effective change communications, organizational-wide communications, building for scale, and fast-paced technology.
In this role, you'll work with our executives and senior leaders to develop Employee Communications that engage, connect, and inspire. The ideal candidate will be a business partner, and a communicator, who is looking to lead and inspire a team of employee communication professionals. You'll have strong commercial acumen and tenacity to develop, drive, and deliver high-impact communications.

You'll also have the ability to be creative and a strategic thinker who can convert vision into plans that can be executed.
Responsibilities:
- Be a strategic partner to the Heads of our Corporate functions at LinkedIn, advising on the right forum, timing, and content of company-wide communications to ensure all of our employees are informed, inspired and empowered to help LinkedIn succeed.
- Help shape company narrative(s) and stories that reinforce our culture and values and highlight the ways in which we do this across LinkedIn.
- Oversee the company-wide strategic calendar, setting out which employees we are engaging with, when and how and by whom, so there is effective air traffic control and we're making sure our employees are getting the right context at the right time.
- Creatively use different communication formats such as live events, videos, community channels, emails to inform and inspire employees.
- Work closely with your peers in our Employee Communications leadership team and our Global Employee Communications teams to align on overall communications strategy using existing channels in a complementary fashion.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including External Communications, HR, Talent Acquisition, Chief of Staff, Legal, etc. across the company.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 12+ years communications experience working with and providing guidance to executives and senior leaders
- 3+ years experience managing, leading and inspiring high performing Employee Communications teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience working in a corporate role with a strong understanding of high-tech culture
- Relationship builder with strong business acumen and ability to prioritize around highest impact actions and partner across leadership and communications teams
- Strategic thinker, able to understand context and connect dots to stay ahead of issues and maximize opportunities
- Ability to apply an inclusive approach to communications that reflects our values of diversity, inclusion and belonging

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $192,000 - $300,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
