Job description

 

The Sr. Digital Merchandising Analyst is responsible for driving the online strategy of multiple categories of the business and executing an optimized shopping experience for our customer on DuluthTrading.com; all while growing total company sales and meeting other KPIs. They will own a robust product catalog, plan site content to align with company initiatives and successfully execute that strategy for all categories under their management. The individual will monitor and confidently speaking to performance to make data-based decisions. They should be able to identify and recommend the best actions to take based on analytics and reporting results. This position will need someone who is resourceful & who can be initiative-taking in forming cross functional relationships. Must be able to successfully communicate with other members of the ecommerce team, creative design teams, IT & other internal areas to manage our customer-centric website and drive their areas of focus. The candidate should be a collaborator who is eager to contribute to the Ecommerce roadmap, as well as providing recommendations for new site functionality. Candidate must have strong critical thinking & time management skills all while being self-motivated in a fast-paced environment. The Sr. Digital Merchandising Analyst has the opportunity to have at least one direct report to partner with to drive and execute their strategy.

The position will be based in our corporate headquarters, near Madison, WI, but it will offer a hybrid work arrangement allowing the flexibility to work a few days a week from home.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own & be accountable for specific area(s) of the business. Using brand initiatives, data and insights as guidance, strategize/plan website content. Ensure we are aligned with all other channels of the business.
  • Use the website platform & tools to load, manage & schedule elements of the website. Perform quality assurance checks before launch of promotions & seasonal refreshes.
  • Provide performance reports weekly, monthly and upon request using an analytics platform. Make informed recommendations on next steps from the results.
  • Explore and provide innovative ideas to the team.  Offer support for A/B testing, development launches or requirements.
  • Manage one direct report.
  • Create & maintain merchandising category landing pages and individual product pages
    • Own item attribution & categorization to get customers to the right products at the right time
    • Reacting to assortment newness to support business plans
    • Identify new categories or collections to introduce online, following web assortment guidelines and selling timeframe to support total business goals

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Associate Degree in related field
    • Equivalent work experience would be considered
  • 5+ years of merchandising or ecommerce experience
  • Proficient computer skills and comfortable learning new systems/tools.
  • Experience working in content management or similar tools for managing the deployment of products, creative and campaigns
  • Familiarity with B2C eCommerce sites a plus
  • Action-oriented and flexible. Must demonstrate a capacity to operate successfully in a fast-paced, changing environment to make fact-based decisions
  • Analytical skills. Able to review data, draw conclusions, and take action on the next steps
  • Independent thinker and able to hit the ground running with strategy and analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities but can also function as a collaborative team player to execute merchandising vision
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Clear and concise communicator with solid organizational and planning skills
  • Experience presenting to leadership and owning the execution of a project

Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000/Year

Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
