Job Description:
Driving profitable share growth for our eComm business is a major priority for the enterprise. It is critical we understand our pet parent through advanced analytics, search, traffic, conversion, ratings and reviews, and sales data. The Senior Digital Insights manager is responsible for generating, analyzing, and interpreting data related to Mars digital performance and in turn providing solutions to improve our digital strategy. This individual will use their communication skills and digital acumen to build new processes and accelerate Mars' digital performance. They will also be responsible for leading the digital category management blueprint and collaborating with our product manager to democratize our digital data through the Cascade product.
What are we looking for?
  • 5+ years of experience in insights, CPG, digital agency, or strategic consulting roles
  • 3+ years of experience working in Digital Insights, SEO, Amazon FBA, or digital shelf experience.
  • Experience assimilating extensive amounts of detailed data to see the big picture, providing actionable and influential recommendations.
  • Understanding of digital analytics tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Stackline, Profitero, eFundamentals, Data Impact or similar products. Candidate should also be familiar with data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable solutions and ability to apply them to appropriately address business issues.
  • Ability to create new business processes based upon key insights, alignment with key stakeholders, and drive meaningful business impact.
  • Collaborative activity with a retailer partner, examples using insights to influence and change strategy for evident improvement.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in a Digital Insights, analytics, CPG, digital agency, or digital consulting, Amazon Merchandising, or digital shelf role
  • Experience working with SEO, digital content, traffic, conversion, and/or clickstream data.
  • Experience working with Amazon, Chewy, Walmart, Instacart, or another large digital retailer.
  • Experience with digital A/B testing
  • Experience working with digital shelf tools: Stackline, Profitero, eFundamentals, CommerceIQ, Similarweb, Data Impact.
  • Experience working with traffic, conversion, or SEO data: Similarweb, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Merchant Words

What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data and to identify trends, and actionable insights to enable digital business decisions.
  • Quantifying factors driving traffic, conversion, organic search, digital share of shelf and shopper behavior on digital retailers such as Amazon, Chewy, and Walmart.
  • Leverage digital analytics tools and platforms, such as efundamentals, Similarweb, Stackline, and Nielsen products to quantify business opportunities. Will use systems such as Tableau or PowerBI to interpret data and trends.
  • Passion for getting to the root cause of issues and recommending the best path forward.
  • Ability to disappear into the data and emerge with key insights.
  • Work with cross-functional partners in digital, marketing, field sales, and insights and to identify business opportunities.
  • Utilize partnerships and insights to stand up new processes to accelerate organic share of shelf and profitable dollar share.
  • Proactively explore and discover data from new eCom tools and cascade insights and opportunities to key stakeholders within marketing, insights, eCom, and sales.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate insights and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management, marketing teams, eCom, and sales teams.
  • Lead and act as subject matter expert for eCom dashboard and leading on identifying best data sets, KPI formulas, and layouts to democratize data in the organization.
