Position OverviewYou'll never be able to automate yourself out of a job at Verra Mobility, but we want you to try.
Verra Mobility's DevOps engineers have a track record of consistently and iteratively building automation solutions to make software development and product implementation go faster. We are looking for engineers who can build efficient and maintainable automation systems, administer servers at scale, and declaratively build cloud infrastructure with code.
Essential Responsibilities- Atlassian knowledge including Bit Bucket, Bamboo, and Jira.
- Kubernetes and containerization experience (EKS preferred)
- Tool building by using code to build a reusable toolbox of capabilities with testability, maintainability, and discoverability in mind.
- The ability to analyze problems and design solutions without dependence on presently perceived constraints.
- By focusing on the desired outcome, you can modify and design processes that avoid as many problems as they solve.
- Spur collaboration across teams.
- Automating processes to avoid toil.
- Evangelize Development Best Practices.
- Infrastructure-as-code creation and maintenance.
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies.
- Terraform/ARM/Bicep infrastructure declarations.
- Middleware configuration scripting.
- Full stack knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux, IT Security, Application Monitoring, and Performance testing.
- 5+ years' experience administering Linux servers in a production environment.
- 5+ years' experience coding/scripting experience.
- 3+ years' experience managing containers.
- 3+ years' experience using Terraform
- 2+ years' experience supporting software development.
