You will be joining a team of seasoned professionals well versed in architecting bespoke software applications and implementing/supporting finance transformation products.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to be a Senor Developer on our Software Engineering Team as we transform Acuity Brands - Finance and Accounting Business (FAB) analytics and migrate our platform to Azure and Power BI. This position will be responsible for bringing automation to existing OneStream processes along with Power BI development and administration, as well as building Analysis Services reporting models within our Azure architecture. You will also be responsible for design methodology, project documentation, and our change management process for our Power BI development.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Identify root cause of platform and tool problems and develop scalable solutions.
• Provide production support within investigating issues, variances within existing OneStream infrastructure
• Help support deprecation of existing Hyperion cubes into Azure Datalake while keeping the lights on (KTLO) on the current infrastructure.
• Investigate and determine feasibility and implications of vendor's (OneStream's) new and existing features on Acuity's BI platform
• Build and deploy feature functionality on Acuity's BI Modern platform by adhering to CICD protocols
• Build automation via the creation of or enhancement of existing Business Rules and Data Management jobs within OneStream
• Manage and build metadata and maintain necessary documentation while adhering to SOX protocols
• Work with solution architect and Technical Product Managers to decrease platform technical debt
• Create and deliver solution presentation for the team to demonstrate understanding of technology and Acuity domain

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with SCRUM Master and Technical Product Managers to estimate work item efforts and dependencies
• Organize and prioritize workload to consistently meet deadlines.
• Leverage automation tools to reduce or eliminate repetitive tasks on the platform.
• Help build solutions for metadata and security management within OneStream along with driver-based forecasting solution.
• Create and institutionalize data and content security.
• Manage, drive, and deliver multiple projects, both on an ongoing and ad hoc basis.
• Work with Business Analysts and Engineering partners to help shape and drive the development of Acuity's reporting and analytics platforms
• Help define and oversee development standards, change control process, and architecture development
• Work within daily Agile/Scrum process for sprints across projects and operations
• Mentor and coach Standard Developers, BSAs and others as applicable

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Finance/Accounting or other technical/analytical field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in identifying and optimizing database objects.
• 2+ years of experience with OneStream required.
• 2+ years of experience with OneStream extensibility configuration (vertical and horizontal), data adapters, dashboard and cube view creations, transformation rules including composite mappings and complex expressions and event handlers required.
• 5+ years of experience working with databases including proficiency in SQL coding across standard commercial databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle... etc.) and VB.Net required
• 4-7 years of experience...designing, developing, and implementing reporting and analytics solutions
• 2+ years of experience in modern visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense/View, D3.js, etc.)
• Experience in Data Modeling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working on a SCRUM team.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Visual Studio Team Services

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with implementing OneStream preferred.
• Oracle EBS ERP system experience preferred
• 4-7 years of constructing dimensions and facts for data warehousing is preferred
• 4+ years of working with Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL) is preferred
• 4+ years of developing and enhancing SSIS packages for data warehouse, Oracle EBS is preferred
• 2+ years of working with and or constructing API (Push, Get, Post) is preferred
• Experience working in an Agile development environment. SCRUM master certification is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Data Lakes preferred
• 2+ years of experience with Power BI and DAX coding is preferred

The range for this position is $112,200.00 to $252,200.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
