Position Overview
This position is responsible for handling operational responsibilities and providing support related to administration of the overdraft protection program, account charge offs and collections, and legal processes served on the bank.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform operational consulting with staff including advising on charge offs, overdraft repayment plans, and legal processes.
- Administer Overdraft Repayment Program. Advise and make decisions regarding entering customers into the program, monitor participation and charge off delinquent accounts when needed.
- Serve as systems expert for Transworld Systems collection service. Bring problems and questions to resolution.
- Handle legal processes (i.e., levies garnishments, citation, etc.), including ensuring all necessary paperwork is filed on a timely basis, make appropriate entries to customer account and handle inquiries regarding these processes.
- Assist in preparation of annual escheat remittance to the State of Illinois. Prepare and mail customer correspondence and handle inquiries from customers and staff.
- Assist with charge off of overdrawn accounts including making closing entries, notifying customers, performing file maintenance, reporting accounts to collection agencies and posting recoveries.
- Assist with the Bank's 1099C and B-Notice processes.
- Completion of Verification of Deposits (VOD's) received.
- Completion of Closed Account requests when received.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and one or more years of experience in banking, or related; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Good working knowledge of the Bank, its policies and procedures and all federal regulations pertaining to the operations area.
