Title: Senior Data Scientist
Location: 211 South Gulph Road, Suite 125, King of Prussia, PA 19406, USA
Duties: Perform risk modeling using state-of-the-art statistical and econometric techniques, including forecasting and simulation exercises. Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and provide technical assistance for strategy and other client-facing teams. Explore large structured and unstructured datasets for new product development. Provide analytical tools supporting product development decisions. Serve as a modeling expert for risk management, stress testing, behavioral modelling, and model validation. Partner with clients in measuring and managing risks in their portfolios, and assist clients, internal marketing, and client services teams on the education and implementation of risk management technology. Collaborate with financial researchers and data analysts on research projects. Partner with engineering teams to deploy completed research through various technology channels. Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally.
Requirements: Must have a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, or a closely related quantitative field. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in an acceptable field as stated above plus two (2) years of experience. Must have experience or academic training with the following: performing econometric and statistical modeling; developing credit risk models and applying knowledge of financial quantitative methods; working with financial databases, including Bloomberg, CRSP, or related; applying knowledge of programming tools, including SQL, Python, R, and Matlab.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $109,262 to $157,250, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
