About the open position:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our data architecture. The successful candidate will manage integrations between our data and other systems, build out new automated processes, and monitor and manage existing data pipelines. Collaboration with the product side of the business to facilitate the onboarding of new clients is a key aspect of this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Engineering, with a focus on building scalable and efficient data pipelines. As a key member of our data team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust data solutions that support business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making.
This full-time, salaried position is a hybrid role based in Manchester, NH. It's open to candidates in the US who are eligible to work without current or future sponsorship. The salary range is $95,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on skills and expertise.
What you'll do:
- Handle support requests from across the enterprise, providing expertise and guidance.
- Collaborate closely with the product side of the business to prepare for the onboarding of new clients.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Optimize and enhance existing data pipelines for improved performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Implement and maintain data warehouse architecture to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.
- Manage and optimize databases to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Implement best practices for data storage, indexing, and partitioning to improve query performance.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Enforce data governance policies and standards to maintain data quality and compliance.
- Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Monitor data pipelines for failures and discrepancies; troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the Data Engineering team.
What you'll bring to the role:
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and/or Snowflake SQL.
- 3+ years' experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on building and optimizing data pipelines.
- A solid understanding of data modeling concepts and data warehousing.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
