Position Overview
Our technology team is searching for a Senior Data Engineer to help build our data architecture. Your central responsibility as the Data Engineer will be to build/develop and optimize our organizational data platform. Your duties may include understanding and framing review data requirements, determining architectural model, building platform and interfaces with various applications, and supporting migration, governance, and maintenance efforts. To succeed in this role, you should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience constructing a robust data architecture leveraging data lakes/marts, warehouses, databases.
What You'll Be Working On
Duties include but not limited to:
- Design, configure and implement effective data platform solutions and models to store and retrieve company data across diverse applications - with particular domain over Azure stack, integrating to AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Google BigQuery.
- Assess and lead database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations (21 CFR Part 11).
- Install and organize information systems to guarantee company functionality, producing detailed topology. Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to innovative solutions.
- Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
- Address requirements from stakeholders to ensure data systems meet organizational needs.
- Educate staff members through training and individual support. Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
What You Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Training and Education Undergraduate or graduate education on Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering; OR relevant certifications for database administration or big data systems.
- +5 years of experience building, developing, deploying, and monitoring data systems
- Strong knowledge of Azure data products: Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure SQL Databases, Power BI
- Comfortable transforming data in standard data form: JSON, Parquet
- Proficient in SQL
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
- More than 5 years of experience working as the role of the Data Engineer or similar roles.
- Experience using software development lifecycle, cloud infrastructure, database query, ETL, continuous deployment.
