Senior Data Analyst

Our team is growing and we are hiring a full-time Senior Data Analyst to join our team and help us continue to deliver legendary service to our members. We are willing to consider a remote candidate or someone that would like to work out of one our Wisconsin offices (Stevens Point or Milwaukee). This role is responsible for supporting data strategy by bridging the gap between data engineering and business intelligence, ensuring our organization's data-driven strategies are executed effectively. This role will also support data quality, advanced analytics, business intelligence visualizations and dashboard development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data Expertise

• • Master various data sources available for analysis and determine the most suitable sources for specific scenarios.
  • Develop a deep understanding of data within each source, including its strengths and limitations.
  • Collaborate with the NorthWinds Data Solutions team to define requirements and conduct user acceptance testing for new data tables and data needs, specifically to support reporting and business intelligence.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on data querying techniques for reporting, modeling, and dashboard development.

Business Intelligence

• • Analyze data to derive insights and trends related to various business aspects, including claims experience, profitability, sales, and more.
  • Continuously improve the existing reporting and business intelligence environment, proactively suggesting enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data analysis needs and define project scopes, perform analyses, and communicate results effectively.
  • Support strategic planning efforts with data-driven insights and recommendations.

Data Engineering

• • Participate in data integration, orchestration, and validation processes to ensure data is accurately prepared and structured for business intelligence needs.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines, data models, and databases for efficient reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor and optimize data processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to develop and implement data solutions that support business intelligence goals.

Data Strategy and Optimization

• • Develop innovative solutions to streamline data analysis processes, supporting departmental and company-wide data requirements.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making by providing the necessary tools, platforms, and frameworks for data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in project portal requests and ad-hoc data analysis projects.
