Title: Senior Data Analyst / Junior Data Engineer - Full Stack
Location: NYC Metro area
Schedule: Hybrid
Qualifications (need most but all not required):
• 4 years' experience
• Fullstack development experience (70% technical hands-on dev / 30% business requirements)
• SaaS experience
• Data Modelling in a Big Data environment using Hive, Hadoop, BigQuery
• Cloud experience – GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP is ideal)
• Experience with containerization
• Someone who is Impact Focused, with strong business language experience
• Engineer on software applications – focused understanding of technicality, subjectively with project managers
• Fullstack engineering hardcore on SaaS applications to put pieces together
• Small team: 3 people reporting to this manager consisting of this new hire, 1 Fullstack Engineer in India that will be helping with this project, and 1 Data Engineer in the US
• Looking for someone to display more of a leadership role for engineering roadmap (not managing people, but rather leading projects type of role)
• There will be a coding assessment during the 2nd round interview
Position Summary:
The Company's BigData team is looking to hire a Full Stack Engineer who will build and own the engineering roadmap of their cutting edge inhouse marketing SaaS solution. This solution harnesses the power of the Company's bigdata to empower all marketing teams reach their customers throughout the country. At this stage, this role is pivotal as we are taking this solution to the next level and positioning it as core product for everything marketing - audience segmentation, statistical testing, data governance, data distribution, revenue optimization and much more. Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance our desktop-based data web applications from front-end to back-end.
• Triage product and system issues and debug/resolve by analyzing the source of issues and impact on service operations and quality
• Collaborate with product managers, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and marketing tech vendors to prioritize engineering deadlines and deliverables
• Work with Data Engineers and data scientists to design and deploy complex data models, fueling the application
• Deploy applications on cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
• Integrate application with inhouse bigdata system and third-party marketing systems using APIs and other solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code and contribute to existing documentation and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
• Stay updated on emerging web application and data modeling technologies and integrate with the product where applicable
• Work with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to understand business goals and data science and marketing tech stack of the company
Team uses the following Full Stack tools:
• MERN stack: Node.JS (preferred), JavaScript, MongoDB, Express, ReactJS, Node.js (preferred)
• Object-oriented language - Python
• Database programming using Hive/Hadoop
• Browser programming using ReactJS
• Server programming using NodeJS
• Experience in using BigData stack (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Airflow / OOZIE, BigQuery / Presto / Impala, etc.)
• Solid understanding of containerized platforms (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Cloud - GCP
