QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ Years of Experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Degree or diploma in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, or related field.
- CompTIA Security+ or other higher level security certifications (e.g., CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor).
- In-depth knowledge of a variety of security technologies such as IDS / IPS, Firewall, Proxies, and Anti-Virus.
- Previous experience with endpoint security solutions.
- Prior experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance from a security perspective preferred.
- Previous experience using a ticketing system like Zendesk, JIRA
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interest in Cybersecurity and ongoing trends and developments.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Work with our Compliance department to manage, maintain, and audit the Governance, Risk, and Compliance system.
- Act as the lead for the security awareness program.
- Develop technical methodologies to support the Cybersecurity team in and perform daily tasks which include, but are not limited to, prioritizing changing incidents, investigating, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor organizational systems for security issues to identify and analyze severe and potential cyber threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases, and web for potential system breaches / intrusions.
- Ensure authorized access by investigating improper access, reporting violations and monitoring information requests by new programming.
- Process security requests ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
- Create concise and comprehensive reports related to security violations, including recommendations for addressing any identified control weaknesses.
- Methodically conduct system audits to verify compliance with adopted processes, policies, and standards.
- Be an advocate of security awareness, enjoy staying on top of cyber security trends, and incorporate best practices into your daily work.
- Identify and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
- Assist in writing policies and procedures.
- Continue to maintain certifications via CPE’s.
- Ask questions to determine the nature of problems and walk users through problem-solving processes.
- Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services.
- Record events and problems and their resolution in tickets.
- Identify and implement improvements to procedures.
- Perform other IT and security related duties as needed.
- Special projects or other duties as assigned.
