The Opportunity:
As the Cyber Analyst/Engineer (NCR/Shared), you will serve as a paragon of customer service excellence for all members of the Office of Military Commissions (OMC) under DISA's Joint Service Provider (JSP) Service Delivery contract. Your role involves offering expert tool design, system configuration, and engineering guidance to a team of highly skilled professionals. Daily, you will engage with customers to ensure mission productivity, addressing IT cyber issues encompassing desktops, laptops, software installations, and other critical needs. Additionally, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing key OMC IT initiatives. While this position is based in the NCR, occasional travel to Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB) may be required. This role is notably unique, given that OMC's planned projects necessitate proficiency in three key areas of Cyber Analyst/Engineering skills: Overall System Cyber Security, SIEM (SPLUNK) Enterprise configuration and implementation for Cyber Security, and Forescout deployment for Network Access Control (NAC).
Key Responsibilities:
Overall System Cyber Security:
- Perform/assist existing OMC ISSO tasks and duties.
- Ensure OMC IT compliance with DoD instruction 8500.01 cybersecurity requirements.
- Develop, implement, and enforce OMC information systems cybersecurity policies.
- Identify information systems deficiencies and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
- Implement and maintain endpoint security solutions (ACAS, McAfee ENS, Microsoft Endpoint Management, etc.).
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for endpoint security solutions.
Network Access Control (NAC) Security Engineering:
- Design, build, configure, and deploy ForeScout.
- Work with Network Engineer to ensure NAC is connected to appropriate VLANs.
- Manage Windows, Linux, and SNMP accounts for device profiling.
- Configure compliance policies and assist with network issue troubleshooting.
- Monitor ForeScout system health and manage licensing.
Cyber Security Engineering (SIEM):
- Design, build, configure, and deploy SPLUNK (Enterprise Level).
- Configure dashboards, alerts, and perform daily analysis of SIEM events.
- Manage hardware performance, EPS, and Asset count.
- Perform backups, restorations, updates, and upgrades to the system.
- Monitor SPLUNK infrastructure health.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TOP SECRET w/ SCI Eligible security clearance upgrade at the time of award.
- 5+ years of professional CYBER experience with DOD or IC.
- Bachelor's in engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- DoD8570.01M IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CND, or Security + CE).
- Prior ISSO or related experience for the DoD required.
