How you’ll help:
Mon Ami Realty is seeking a talented in-house attorney to continue its growth. The position requires an organized, responsive, detail-oriented candidate with strong Real Estate skills and deep knowledge of transactional work.
What you’ll do:
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements for the acquisition and disposition of Real Estate and related documents including LOIs and transaction documents
- Draft, review and negotiate retail, office and industrial leases and related documents
- Handle all aspects of title work (ordering and reviewing/objecting to commitments, clearing title exceptions, summarizing documents of record, e.g. easements) and the receipt of and tracking of all issued title policies
- Maintain a deep functional knowledge and Real Estate expertise to support business objectives and manage risk
- Develop and refine templates, policies and procedures to standardize and improve contract drafting and review process
- Review, analyze and provide guidance on lease terms and tenant issues to support the property management team
Qualifications:
- J.D. and licensure to practice in the State of Illinois (Required)
- Real Estate law: 3-5 years experience handling Commercial transactions (Required)
- Strong understanding of industry standards in Real Estate transactions to quickly focus in on the aspects of a lease of transaction that matters most to the business
- Excellent business judgement, flexibility, with an ability to proactively determine, prioritize and resolve issues
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment
- Ability to manage, organize and complete multiple tasks with competing priorities

Pay: $130,000.00 per year
