The role will be remote eligible (ideally CA or DC based)
- Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts at all stages of the transaction lifecycle, including master service agreements, letters of intent, term sheets, purchase agreements, SaaS agreements, leases, construction agreements, and supply agreements
- Partner with business teams to provide advice and creative solutions to complex problems
- Collaborate with business, finance, tax and other legal teams on complex, fast-paced projects
- Support continually improving form agreements, playbooks, and legal tools
- Support other legal team functions, including export controls, intellectual property, securities, and supply chain
- Manage relationships and collaborate with outside counsel or other service providers
- 5+ years of transactional legal experience at law firms or fast-paced technology companies
- JD degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in at least one US state (CA preferred)
- Excel as a member of teams focused on customer service and building relationships
- Ability to effectively manage multiple, time-sensitive tasks
- Is a self-starter and can work independently, owning projects from start to finish
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of the company to help solve legal and commercial issues
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $145,100 - $190,000/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
