Senior Corporate Counsel

Our customer an American multinational software corporation is looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel. This will be a 12 month contract (potential to turn perm), full-time, remote role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supporting the company’s team members, including product managers, software engineers, marketing professionals, and support representatives, with their legal questions and concerns.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including those relating to SAAS offerings, inbound technology licensing, analytics, and other vendor services, open-source projects, IP assignments, and technology partnerships for both the acquired company and the team.
• Help the company to continue running its business as we prepare for integration over multiple teams and systems.
• Identifying and driving resolution of issues related to intellectual property, privacy, security, data usage, confidentiality, marketing, competition, regionalization, and other legal and regulatory issues for both the acquired company and the team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing legal support to software and cloud service businesses, either at a law firm or corporate legal department.
• JD and license to practice law in a U.S. state.
• Licensed in California and a resident of that jurisdiction.
• Experience and interest in international law, intellectual property, privacy, security, data usage, and technology transactions.
• Collaborative and pragmatic and excel at finding sensible solutions in a fast-paced work environment.
