JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Coordinator, Marketing Special Projectsis a member of the Marketing Special Projects team, and is primarily responsible for supporting cross-functional project management efforts that facilitate key stakeholder alignment and drive successful execution of MLB Marketing's strategic priorities. This role will also provide project management support for marketing elements of MLB-wide initiatives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- 4 year degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field and 2+ years experience in marketing or related functional area, OR equivalent relevant experience
- Project management experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel + PowerPoint (Google Docs/Sheets)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducting Core Work Activities
- Provides cross-functional project management support by:
- Organizing and facilitating project team meetings
- Monitoring objectives and deliverables of the project team
- Coordinating Managing timelines to ensure project remains on schedule
- Updating stakeholders on project status
- Escalating needs for leadership support
- Tracks progress against project team objectives and performance goals
- Summarizes notes and actions of project teams and communicates to team members to ensure clear ownership of tasks and project responsibilities
- Recommends ways to standardize metrics/reporting for updating business leaders and stakeholders
- Facilitates information sharing, collaboration, and coordination across groups
- Provides input/feedback/recommendations into new processes, standards or plans in support of the business
- Supports projects to build fan-facing Club experience, implementation insights, and reference materials (eg, MLB x Club Strategic Priorities Working Groups)
- Provides project management support to League-wide projects as needed

- Executes against project plans to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks
- Collaborates with manager and stakeholders to support business needs
- Generates and provides timely and accurate updates in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision. In addition to your salary, MLB believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package for its employees.
