JOB – Senior Control System Engineer
LOCATION - St. Joseph, MI
TERM - Permanent
SALARY- $80,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client – a manufacturer of Machinery and Automated Production Systems is on the lookout for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join their team on a Direct Hire basis near St. Joseph, MI.
Candidates will need to have experience in ground-up programming of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
Those with strong experience in working through full project lifecycles for Automated Production lines within Automotive, Materials Handling, Aerospace, or Pharmaceutical will be a particularly good fit.
The Senior Control System Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- BS, MS qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar
- Strong proficiency in PLC Programming using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell packages.
- Electrical Panel Design experience.
- Hands on Installation / Commissioning experience.
- Experience within an R&D / product development department.
- Industry background working on Projects within Materials Handling, Automotive or Robotic sectors.
- Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
The Senior Control System Engineer's role will involve:
- Design and Development of Automated Production systems for new and existing clients.
- Programming PLCs for the control of Conveyors, Robots, and Machinery (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell).
- Working on Motion Control Systems, Servo Drives, and VFDs.
- Ensuring compliance with directives and standards of systems throughout the Design process.
- Assessment of customer requirements and delivery of bespoke products to given specifications
- Taking part in Design Review Meetings.
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks and projects as required.
