SENIOR CONTRACT ANALYST
MUST BE BASED IN CHICAGO with in-office presence several days per week.

THE ROLE: SR. CONTRACT ANALYST:
We are searching for a Sr. Contract Analyst for our Chicago office. This role will be reporting to the Manager of Contracts and Commercial Operations and will take on the key responsibility of partnering with EXSIF's senior management, sales, and customers to draft contracts and addendums. This role will also touch on areas of compliance, due diligence, sustainability, and lease deal analysis.
Our ideal candidate will understand the global complexities and flexibility needed to accommodate inter-cultural viewpoint of our customers and team. The candidate must be able to demonstrate and handle a variety of internal and external communications, be inquisitive, forward-thinking and attentive to detail.
Assist with the drafting, preparation, reviewing, and interpretation of company standard contracts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the drafting, preparation, reviewing, and interpretation of company standard contracts
• Ensure compliance with all corporate contract, OFAC sanction alerts, and insurance policies
• Protect EXSIF's interest by mitigating risk and providing guidance to senior management and sales personnel
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in efforts to address and make all parties aware of legal requirements
• Support the maintaining of contractual documents and processes within EXSIF procedures and systems
• Align internal staff/external individuals to resolve customer request, issues, etc.
• Gather information from multiple sources and work through solutions to deliver contractual needs
• Set and achieve priorities/goals within the time constraints of EXSIF and the customer.
• Run compliance checks and broader due diligence for proposed new customer through BvD Compliance Catalyst

QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent communication skills with ability to present written information in a professional manner

• Juris Doctor or ABA paralegal certificate preferred
• Experience in either banking or transportation is preferred
• Experience working with and communicating non-legal persons
• Able to ask questions and confirm understandings from the outset
• Issue spot and recognize gaps in processes to raise for broader team discussion
• Able to propose solutions to balance customer needs and EXSIF business priorities
• Takes direction from management in a productive manner and integrates necessary changes in a timely fashion.
• Previous experience writing, reviewing and redlining contracts
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships internally and externally;
• Possess ability to quickly master internal systems and applications
• Enjoys working independently to handle assignments and willing to work collaboratively as needed.
• Meet deadlines providing a consistent level of quality and accuracy
• Cultural awareness, this is a global environment that requires the candidate to embrace differences to provide work product in line with regional distinctions.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Excel, MS Word, etc.) and Adobe Sign systems.
