Senior Content Associate

Summary:

David Trone for Senate is looking for a Senior Content Associate to help produce engaging digital content for social media, email, and web.

Compensation: $5,000 - $7,000 monthly.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the digital team to produce content that drives core messaging goals and priorities.
• Draft social copy and text for a wide array of digital assets.
• Monitor social media and respond quickly to developing news.
• Track digital content trends across platforms and share that information with the internal team.
• Travel as needed to capture campaign events and on-the-road footage.

Qualifications:

• 2+ experience in social media content creation or copywriting for an organization, brand, political campaign or candidate, or agency.
• Experience managing social media and/or email content calendars preferred.
• Experience overseeing content strategy from start to finish – ideation to approvals to posting.
• Highly detail-oriented and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong social media proficiency is a must – you're up to date on social media trends and viral content but you're also up to date on the technicalities of each platform, the different types of content that performs best on each platform, and thoughts on how to leverage each platform to the best of our abilities.
• Political acumen and understanding of the campaign landscape, with the ability to develop strategic messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of current media trends, news cycles, and best practices in media engagement and storytelling.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced campaign environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Commitment to progressive values, social justice, and the campaign's mission.
