SalaryOur client, a well-established Ladies contemporary Brand is searching for a Senior Designer for immediate hire. Must have a Contemporary aesthetic designing Knits and Wovens. Develop and create vision for new product line assortments collaborating with the cross functional team. Strong tops experience is a plus. Lead the team with design concept and product assortments.
Responsibilities:
Manage the design and development for Knits and Wovens
- Manage placement strategy and follow-up by recommending product placement
- Develop design strategies and execution for knit and woven tops
- Involved in all product development and sales meeting projecting future fabrications
- Evaluate vendor mix and size of vendor base.
- Develop time and action calendars for programs
- Prepare trend boards for management meetings
- Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details, and costing
- Manage product integrity and order specifications compliance.
- Approve lab dips, new fabric developments and the general flow of the process
Qualifications
- 5 plus years of experience in apparel production and development
- Knowledge and understanding of knit and woven fabrics
- Proficiency in illustrator and Photoshop
- Problem-solving abilities meeting deadlines.
- Microsoft Office Programs
- BA Degree
Salary: $100,000- $120,000
