Human to Human Note:
You might be able to tell from our job description that we are a small company that is in the scaling phase. With that phase comes growing pains, which we've had our fair share of. With all that in mind, we make the following promise to you:
- We promise to prioritize your well-being: Working for a small business is rewarding and hard. Because of that, we will do what we can to help you care for yourself whether it means a mental health day off or hearing you out on any particular matter.
- We promise to listen and respond with humility: There will be a time when you come to us with an unhappy customer or a situation gone south. In those situations, we promise to listen, create solutions with you as needed, and apologize where needed.
And in-turn we ask the following from you:
- Communicate & set expectations well: It can be hard to give realistic expectations to people, especially if you want things done in a better/faster/more improved way. While we most definitely want the latter, we want to prioritize excellent communication and setting expectations so that we can assess situations properly and improve and be better entrepreneurs, electricians, and handypeople.
- Some example of when communication/setting expectations is key:
- When estimate will be ready to send the customer
- If you are running late to a meeting or a job
- If a job will be delayed
- If you’re not sure we have the current manpower/expertise for a job
