Job Duties
The Supreme Court of Virginia, Office of the Executive Secretary is seeking a highly motivated person for the position of Senior Computer Operator within our Judicial Information Technology Department. The successful applicant will be working the second shift handling batch operations processing and help desk functions on an IBM mainframe running multiple VSE/ESA guests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities -
Execute and monitor nightly batch processes utilizing automation schedules and manual run sheets. This function requires knowledge of general Operator skills including memorization of computer commands, understanding written and verbal instructions and being able to execute them properly. This function also requires the ability to communicate problems or issues encountered in a clear and concise manner.
Shift hours are 6:00pm until 2:30am and may vary at times due to resource requirements and end of month processing. Overtime is available.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in a computer or technical field. At least two years of experience as an operator, preferably in a VSE/ESA environment.
Additional Considerations
SKILLS:
Good with numbers, detail-oriented, highly accurate and can stay focused on repetitive tasks. Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to work within a team as well as independently.

Saturday work hours (4) on a rotating basis
