Summary:
The Senior Compliance Manager will oversee Behavior Frontiers’ Corporate Compliance and Quality Program. The position ensures the Board of Directors, management, and employees follow the rules and regulations, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets Behavior Frontiers’ Standards of Conduct. The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all quality and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee compliance efforts across the company and report areas of risk to senior leadership as follows:
· Oversee internal compliance standards and execute proposed plans - manage compliance audits and overall regulatory filings and approvals with each state in which the company operates.
· Internal compliance monitoring – ensure the company and all employees are in compliance with state and federal regulatory standards, including established guidelines related to applicable insurance laws and regulations, and contractual obligations, accreditation standards, and ethical requirements related to the delivery of services.
· Internal complaint investigation unit – Effectively manage and tactfully investigate any client complaints – personal involvement in case management of the complaint from reporting to resolution.
· External audit and payer compliance - manage compliance audits and overall regulatory filings and approvals with each contract and state in which the company operates
· Manage relationships with external stakeholders on compliance and reporting issues.
· Keep up to date on state and federal regulations, as well as contractual obligations, and evaluate potential impacts to business.
· Analyze all departments for potential areas of exposure and make recommendations to executive management regarding how to mitigate risk and ensure ongoing compliance.
· Meet with executive team to report findings and obtain guidance on areas of focus and compliance initiatives.
· Monitor and update policies, guidelines, standards and procedures to support the Company’s compliance with changes to governmental and contractual requirements.
· Coordinate with other internal departments to determine impacts of regulation and/or contractual updates on current processes and internal systems.
· Oversee the plan to complete compliance training for the company annually.
· Manage record retention reviews and coordination.
· Monitor and control expenses throughout the year for the department's budget.
· Other duties as assigned.
