Senior Communications Specialist
The WM Investment Advisor Experience team collaborates with partners across the WM Investment Practice including Goals Driven, WM Learning & Development, Operations, Technology, WMM COO, Investment Product, Portfolio Research and all Front Office Investment partners.
The team oversees the end to end investment partner experience through the assessment of current state processes/capabilities and identifies best practices across regions and offices to help with a more consistent experience for all partners. They play a key role in supporting overall partner experience strategy by: Executing on partner focused strategic initiatives and enhancing communication, Participating and or leading special projects, coordinating training and change management with Practice and Regional Leadership, Gathering partner feedback and pain points and acting as an advocate for front office partners across Investment Practice efforts.
Description:
The Senior Communications Specialist plans, develops, coordinates, and monitors promotional, advertising and internal communications programs that project the desired image for the WM Investment Practice and NT Wealth Management to keep partners informed. Provides input on communication messages, marketing direction and creative execution. Acts as a liaison to WM Marketing, Digital outside agencies and other key stakeholders across the firm. Counsels partners on strategies and programs to meet departmental marketing and/or communication objectives.
Major Duties :
  • Leads the planning, development, coordination and monitoring of promotional, advertising and internal communication programs that project the desired image for WM Investment Practice to keep partners informed.

  • Develops Investment Practice strategic marketing plan annually.

  • Leads efforts on content creation, best practice material and investment practice content used by front office partners.

  • Collaborates with WM and Corporate Marketing with regard to exposure on NT.com

  • Leads all intranet content mapping for Personalize(Seismic) as well as investment practice content on private passport.

  • Responsible for analysis of the metrics and views across different internal platforms and tools

  • Leads close collaboration with the Northern Trust Institute persona leads.

  • Provides input on communication messages, marketing direction and creative execution.

  • Acts as liaison to outside agencies.

  • Counsels partners on strategies and programs to meet Investment Practice objectives.

  • Assists manager with determining manuscript direction, edits copy, and participates in vendor selection ensuring cost effective use of internal and external resources.

  • Develops and presents marketing collateral, advertisements and internal communications for non-standard new product promotions.

  • Interacts with all levels across Wealth Management to produce desired materials.

  • May act as a mentor to junior level partners.

  • Ensures consistency of messages and brand through all communications across Wealth Management Practices and Businesses.

Knowledge:
  • Is a technical expert with in-depth knowledge in area of marketing communications, internal communications, and advertising usually acquired through formal education in journalism or advertising.
  • Requires some supervisory capabilities, strong analytical ability, strong judgment and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and management and staff.

Experience:
  • 7 to 10 years of experience.
