Client is currently in search of a full-time CNC Lathe/Programmer operator. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be self-reliant, attentive to detail, and a team player.
Responsibilities:
Programming CNC for 2, 3, or 4 axis MAZAK Turning centers with MAZATROL.
Designing and supervising the production of fixtures and tooling.
Providing technical expertise to support ongoing machining processes.
Offering shop floor assistance as required.
Liaising with engineering for additional details when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in programming and running small to large production lots.
Extensive knowledge of feeds, speeds, and cutter selections for various jobs.
Familiarity with inspection equipment and methods.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering design drawings and technical specifications.
Ability to maintain tolerance levels to +/-0.0005 and select appropriate cutting inserts.
Experience working with various materials such as tool steel, stainless steel, carbide, copper, titanium, etc.
Competency in using precision measuring tools to inspect products and ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with grinders and Bridgeport machines.
Manual machining experience is advantageous.
Welding experience is a bonus.
Supervisory experience is highly desirable.
