This position is open in our Kansas City or St. Louis offices. 

The Senior Cloud Administrator provides services to the Firm through the administration of enterprise technical systems.  The Senior Cloud Administrator will be the owner of one or more of the firm's management solutions (Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, etc.), and will be responsible for delivering, configuring, and securing access to the firm's cloud-based and on-premise systems. Essential functions include:

  • Administration of enterprise technical systems (perform software/hardware maintenance to servers when needed).
  • Responds to user issues and requests routed by the Help Desk Analysts.
  • Provides assistance to others within the Information Technology department, as well as to Firm users.  This assistance may include periodic mobile phone and work outside of normal business hours.
  • Responsible for providing Tier 3 Support and administration of Firm audio-conferencing accounts, Teams, telephony systems including provisioning and support of phones and voice mailboxes.
  • Perform file share/folder administration assigning AD permissions requests for firm routed by Help Desk.
  • Perform e-mail administration such as creation/maintenance of distribution lists, public folders/calendars and other basic e-mail function requests for firm routed by Help Desk.
  • Perform Outlook, SPAM or workstation troubleshooting routed by Help Desk.
  • Create, maintain, and improve process documentation for device and application management across AD/Azure/Intune, including detailed work instructions, security groups, and policies. Train other IT staff on these processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Maintain all user accounts in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.  Perform administration and implementation of AD such as security groups and policies. 
  • Work closely with the Risk Management team to uphold firm practices in accordance with HB policy.  Perform litigation hold and legal email searches for internal collection as needed. 
  • Adhere to ITIL best practices for service transition, regularly reviewing and refining processes to improve service delivery to production environments.
  • Create/Maintain process documentation for all duties assigned to the job.   This may include cross training of other IT staff members.
  • Perform other duties assigned from time to time by direct manager or other IT Management.
  • Oversee the packaging and deployment of software applications to devices via Intune and SCCM, including managing the distribution of Windows and Office Monthly Updates and organizing test results.
  • Maintain, test, and document a current list of drivers for production desktop hardware platforms and ensure desktop operating system upgrades and core desktop application updates (e.g., Office) are planned, tested, and documented.
  • Liaise with application owners to coordinate the thorough testing of major desktop applications and evaluate their impact on user experience, specifying and optimizing user interfaces and system design.
  • Define and refine procedures for imaging desktop and laptop hardware, including BIOS evaluation and configuration, and assure the secure deployment of virtual machine hardware specifications.
  • Aid in planning and executing upgrade cycles for the Windows OS, major core applications, and other enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Applications, IT Operations, and IT Security teams to innovate the delivery of applications and ensure endpoint management aligns with security policies.
  • Participate in vulnerability management in accordance with the Information Risk Management team standards, deploying security patches via enterprise patch management solutions and configuring security controls like application whitelisting and firewalls.
  • Provide technical and operational governance across the end-user computing environment, advocating for the adoption of new tools, techniques, and technologies for workstation and mobile device management.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required; 4 year degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience required, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), A+, N+, or MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to mentor staff and provide guidance in ticket resolution
  • Provide ownership in problem resolution. 
  • Lead technology discussions with team and understand the complexity of technology across the firm.
