Senior Clinician- CBHI Services
Position Overview
The Senior Clinician position at Italian Home for Children's- Children's Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) program will assist in the supervision of CBHI's clinical staff and/or interns, including oversight of client cases, while also maintaining a caseload. The Senior Clinician will oversee the productivity and performance of staff, as well as be a resource and point of contact in crisis situations. The Senior Clinician will ensure that all client treatment is in line with IHC's treatment philosophy and demonstrates the highest quality of care. This is a full-time position that requires late afternoon and evening hours.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Personnel & Clinical Services
- Provide weekly supervision of staff, including clinical and administrative feedback/recommendations
- Evaluation of staff annually, and at other necessary intervals
- Ensure staff productivity goals are met and maintained; take follow up action when necessary
- Ensure services are in line with IHC's philosophy of trauma informed care
- Be an active participant in building unity and a positive work environment
- Travel without restriction to children's homes and throughout the community
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable insured car, as well as the ability to operate a vehicle safely
- Assist families and staff in identifying and utilizing community resources and natural supports
- Coordinate with collateral providers, state agencies, schools, and natural supports
- Maintain accurate clinical charts, follow all clinical documentation timelines and requirements, and make certain supervisees do as well
- Ensure that all services are provided in a professional and strengths-based manner
- Meet agency productivity requirements
- Follow all agency safety protocols
Administration
- Consistently review client case records to ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance of intake evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical notes
- Maintain a moderate client caseload
- Attend weekly leadership and clinical team meetings; chair when assigned
- Be available for phone calls from staff 8 AM-8 PM
Essential Qualifications
- Commitment to the highest quality of client care
- Master of Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program; License required (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LABA)
- Clinical experience working with children and adolescents for individual, family, and/or group treatment
- Experience in the supervision of clinical staff preferred
- Demonstrate ability to model, teach, and support, with strong interpersonal skills
- Sound clinical judgment, and able to make informed decisions quickly during a crisis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in conjunction with computer literacy
- Superior organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to accept and provide constructive feedback
- Discretion regarding confidentiality of clients, families, and co-workers; abide by HIPAA
- Evidence of sensitivity and respect for diversity in both clients and clinical staff
- Demonstrate support and belief in IHC's treatment philosophy, values, and mission
