The role of Senior Clinical Recruiter, Anesthesia at Covenant Health will be responsible for screening, interviewing, and presenting applicants for CRNA and Physician positions throughout the Covenant Health enterprise as needed. The Senior Clinical Recruiter, Anesthesia must possess considerable expertise in translating the employer value proposition, strong interviewing skills, an expert knowledge of recruitment processes, and the ability to build trust with candidates and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with business leaders as a trusted partner and valued advisor, building a deep understanding of the business, role requirements, and desired candidate profiles while delivering outstanding support and service.
  • Owns the end-to-end recruiting process for the Anesthesia service line by embracing new technologies to ensure that the sourcing, recruiting, assessment, offer, onboarding, credentialing, and communication processes run smoothly contributing to a positive candidate experience.
  • Ensures candidate-centric recruiting processes to ensure talent is attracted and retained. Works with a high sense of urgency coupled with the ability to remain flexible within a highly dynamic environment and still deliver on deadlines.
  • Collaboratively interacts, monitors, and builds relationships with CRNA Schools and Physician Resident programs. Visits programs as needed.
  • Initiates recruitment activities for all approved positions assigned. This requires working closely with the department and division chiefs as well as the directors and managers to review position requirements, department needs, and hiring timelines.
  • Extends verbal and written offers to candidates upon hiring manager's approval.
  • Continuously works to improve the talent acquisition process to meet the changing needs of the business and provide best-in-class recruitment support.
  • Independently plans, organizes, prioritizes, schedules, coordinates, and makes decisions relating to assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Proactively contacts and recruits prospective Locum Tenens clinicians to establish relationships, understand their needs, and qualify them for Locum Tenens opportunities. Review new contracts and job descriptions with Account Managers/Vendors with an understanding of job expectations, timelines, and ability to establish how best to source clinicians.
  • Sources candidates utilizing tools, such as cold calling, database sources, Internet, journals, residency programs, and conventions.
  • Conducts phone interviews with qualified candidates, providing them with the community, organizations and position overview while screening them to assess their skill set, needs, and compensation demands.
  • Prepares recruiting updates for delivery to C-Suite, clinical leadership, and operational calls as well as internal recruiting calls.
  • Qualifies healthcare providers according to licensure, availability, skill set, and potential fit in order to prioritize, focus, and determine the best job match for highest probability of placement.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate records, utilizing applicant tracking systems to efficiently track candidate progress, while monitoring recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and conversion rates.
  • Conducts business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Covenant Health.
  • Possesses the knowledge of human resource laws and regulations as they relate to recruitment functions.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field (may substitute seven (7) years of progressive, recent HR experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree).

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of recruitment experience specifically in the recruitment of anesthesia clinicians. Proven ability to interact effectively with a variety of people. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills. Flexibility to meet varying customer needs and to juggle multiple priorities daily. Exceptional organizational skills. Basic personal computer and word processing skills. Knowledge of employment law and Human Resources.

Licensure Requirement:

Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
